About Amador City

A little city with a lot to offer

Nestled between Sutter Creek and Plymouth, Amador City is one of California’s smallest incorporated cities. Gold Rush charm still lines Main Street, where artisan shops and unique antiques fill the original mining-era buildings, including the Imperial Hotel, circa 1878. A natural creek runs through town, with walking trails and bird watching along the way.

“If you like Gold Country towns with history, charm and a sense of being buffered from the noisy outside world, Amador City is as good as it gets.”
